Hi, howareya, Hello!

I’m Carrie…hence Carrie Scrugg’s blog….

I am a stay at home mom of two crazy little boys that are 3 and 5 years of age and we all live in the wonderully sunny state of North Carolina. Charlotte to be exact.

I’ve been involved in photography for over 15 years now (don’t try to do the math….. please!).  I love taking travel photos whenever the chance arrives but I also love doing family, kids, babies, maternity, corporate and still life photography.  I started my own business in 2007 doing just that… kids and families and maternity portraits.  My site is www.cesphotography.com

I love……traveling……. I have a journal fetish……….. I love to meet interesting people…… I love to be out on our super retro gold fleck glasstron boat…….. I would love to one day own an old International or Bronco (in my fantasy world… they get better gas mileage)…… I’m super green (except for my dream of owning an old Bronco/International…. I don’t think there is anything “green” about them) and recycle just about anything imaginable!

Living in Colorado for several years certainly rubbed off on me……I don’t consider myself a “tree hugger” but I do try to run my business in the most “green” fashion possible  

 Some examples: 

• I try to limit the amount of packaging I use when delivering my prints to clients. 
• What packaging I do use, I try to use environmentally friendly materials like raffia vs. ribbon.
• I try to communicate and market through online/email vs. print mailings
• I print on both sides of a sheet of paper before sending it to my recycle bin
• recycle all my old ink cartridges
• use rechargable batteries
