Only a few sessions left for 2009 ~ Charlotte Children’s Photographer~

It’s starting to get to be that time of year.  HOLIDAY Season is quickly approaching… don’t delay…. I only have a few sessions remaining for 2009!

I have one November session left and December is booked with a handful of session left for September and October.  (Newborn sessions still available)

Just a reminder that all remaining sessions for 2009 must be prepaid in order to hold your date.

I will be posting a few new Christmas and Holiday card designs shortly

Fall Schedule ~Charlotte NC Family Photographer~

July is already booked and I’m starting to book August already as well so I thought I’d go ahead and post my fall schedule.

I will be offering the mini sessions for Holiday cards again this year – details to be posted soon.

One new change for the fall is that all photo sessions must be prepaid within one week of booking to hold your date.  You can pay by check or credit/debit card – just let me know your preference.

Giving is Awesome

My friend Kristen started a fantastic organization last December called “Giving is Awesome” – here is a little info on the program and what she is trying to accomplish now   If you feel moved by what she is doing, please go vote for her:  She is teaming up with ConKerr Cancer to try and win a “Name your dream Assignement”  See more info below:

Essential Imagery

Giving is Awesome was founded in December of 2008. It was a simple premise: photographers give a portrait shoot and products to a family who deserves it, but can’t afford it. In the twelve weeks since then, over 530 photographers have donated over $550,000 worth of custom portraiture to families who couldn’t afford it. Artists in places as far flung as Australia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Mexico joined in. Giving is Awesome is also featured in this month’s issue of Professional Photographer magazine, and we’re looking to continue to spread the word about giving. Lenovo and Microsoft are sponsoring the ‘Name Your Dream Assignment’ contest, which grants $50,000 to the photographer who wins to shoot whatever/wherever they would like.

What better way to spread the word than to load 12 photographers into a tour bus and hit up cities with Giving is Awesome shoots? The blog traffic generated by the tour would easily reach 50,000 photographers per day, thus multiplying the number of photographers who sign on for the 2009 version of Giving is Awesome. (The goal: 15,000 photographers for the 2009 edition.)

…but how would we decide who to shoot for those tour bus Giving is Awesome giveaways? Why, we would rely on our friends at ConKerr Cancer, an international charity, to provide our subjects: children currently living with cancer. We’d be bringing awareness of both utterly smashing organizations to light, spreading the photographic love, AND rockin’ a tour bus! Now we’re talkin’!

What if this project doesn’t cost $50,000? Easy! ConKerr Cancer receives the funds to purchase cameras for their chapter coordinators, less the expenses of the tour. This allows the impact of the tour to go much further than the people on the bus, or even the photographers associated with Giving is Awesome. It’s the ripple effect in its truest form, giving sparking giving sparking giving.

Peace and Love in 2009

Mimi family session with the Gallinek’s

Meet the Gallinek family!  We had such great fun on Sunday when they showed up for their Holiday Mini Family session.  Getting one person to look good is usually pretty easy but getting 5 to look good…. whoa!  I certainly think we accomplished our goal this time around!  Look how cute they all are and boy could I just eat her kids up they were so darn cute and well behaved!

I’m telling you… a kick ass assistant makes all the difference in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Here you can see Ms. Chaeli playing peek a boo!

 

Mini session with the “z” sisters

So the “z” sisters showed up on Sunday and I just fell in LOVE with these black tutu type skirts they were wearing, oh and they had super cute shoes to match (don’t think you can see them in the photos though)…

 

Holiday mini session with Mr. Will

Oh my goodness he was such a doll!  Mr. Will just plain and simply could NOT have been in a better mood this weekend.  We got so many smiles and laughter from this little guy.. it was amazing!

I had 4 mini sessions this past Sunday and boy am I so glad that my friend Chaeli agreed to help me out!  She was so good at getting the kids to laugh and relax quickly since we only had 20 min. to get some good photos for Moms Christmas cards!  Thanks Chaeli!
